Massage therapists can often get stuck in a rut, doing the same session over and over again. Working with a mentor can facilitate dynamic new approaches to the human body and table work. Whether you’re a massage student, a recent graduate, or a massage practitioner who has been in the field for many years, mentorship can provide a powerful edge for being confident, effective, and successful in your practice.
Two Powerful Options
Our introduction to one-on-one mentoring consists of three 2-hour sessions over a 4-6-week period, tailored to address your needs as a therapist. We offer mentorship in connective-tissue therapy that emphasizes working with the fascial system and creating spaciousness in the body for ease of movement.
If this introduction feels supportive and useful, we can move forward with a 3-month commitment to enliven your practice and fills gaps in your therapist toolbox. This series will consist of twice-a-month mentoring sessions which build on the framework established during the introduction, helping you understand how to work with your own body as a resource, as well as communication and goal-setting/achieving with your clients.
If there are 2 or more persons in the one-on-one mentoring program, we will also meet as a small group once a month.
In small-group mentoring (capped at nine), we work with others who are aiming to better themselves as practitioners, greatly expanding the opportunity to learn. These sessions are longer, generally 3-4 hours, where mentees can share what they are learning with one another and discover embodied resources for being with their clients. The focus points of these small groups will be pre-determined by conversations with mentors.
Small-group mentoring is part of the larger program for those making a 3-month commitment. If there is a small group ongoing, you may be eligible to join in on these offerings. It’s also possible to form your own small group of 2-9 persons to work with a mentor. Please reach out to us for more information.
